I don't know but my son thinks "Do You Know New" is hilarious. We get to the last page and he goes crazy when he sees the mirror. Laughs like crazy. It's adorable.
I'm not sure about for young kids but when I taught 3rd grade they loved the Black Lagoon books. One of my favs is The Pain and the Great One by Judy Blume. I also like Amelia Bedelia books and for older kids the Hank Zipzer series (co written by Henry Winkler a.k.a THE FONZ) is a good one - especially for kids with learning challenges. And of course Louis Sachar and Wayside School books!
Doreen Cronin has good picture books (she writes Click Clack Moo, Duck for President, etc).
