Pre-op pedi visit

The boys are scheduled to get tubes on Tuesday and the surgeons asked us to schedule a pre op visit with my pedi for tomorrow.

So when I called - my pedi asked the nurse to book me an appointment outside of regular office hours so that "we have as much time as we need to discuss".  Anyone know why?  What happens at these appointments?

Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!

    We had Elijah's pre-op appointment for his eye surgery last week. It was pretty quick, just a typical physical like any well visit. We didn't have many questions for the pedi, since our pedi eye doc covered them.

    It's just a regular physical.

    But, it sounds like you've got a very nice pedi. who wants to make sure you have enough time together to have all of your questions about the procedure answered.

    She probably just wants to make sure you don't feel rushed.  It's very nice of your Pedi to meet with you outside of office hours!  I hope everything goes well!

    I find that surprising.  They need a current history and physical before the surgery, I guess they think you might have a ton questions.
