In honor of Father's Day...

You know DH is a Dad when...

1. He posts lines from DD's favorite storybook on Facebook.

2. The highlight of his week is going to storytime on Saturday morning.

3. He starts talking about DD's poop or lack of poop when we're laying in bed trying to go to sleep.

  • How sad is it that poop is a common topic of conversation at our house?

I remember when I was pg someone telling me I was going to be talking about poop all the time after I had Ella... I didn't really believe them. Then when she was a newborn and pooped 10 times a day I did talk about it all the time but thought in a month or two it would get old and we'd stop talking about it. Here we are almost a year and a half later still talking about it! haha! Hopefully by Kindergarten we'll stop. :)

  • He dreads working late, even though he gets to sleep in, because it means he won't get to see A.

    It's adorable!

I bet then we'll worry about it more because we won't KNOW if they ever did that day or not!

    (mine)

    1. When....you see your 6'1" husband curled up - in a toddler bed - reading "Little Green" for the 3rd time that night...with a smile on his face.

    2. When he comes back from garage sailing only armed with a TON of 2&3T toddler clothes and asks "Did I do good?" (yes honey - you did awesome!)

    1. When DH wants to do nap duty so he can curl up with a sleeping baby on his chest.
    2. When he sits in the rocker to feed DD her morning bottle and tells me to get the camera to take a picture of their entwined hands.
    3. When I hear him exclaim, "how adorable!" when he puts on the clothes I have laid out for DD in the morning.
