maternity pillow recs? back n' belly vs. snoogle?

i'm already uncomfortable and i've read what seems like 10,000 reviews and everyone loves both of these pillows.

i'm having trouble deciding because i'm thinking the back n' belly might be too hot and impossible to nurse with but it looks so comfy and i won't have to shift the whole thing to turn over at night. the snoogle looks good too - but doesn't provide any back support and i'll have to jack the whole thing over if i want to turn. i could use it for nursing later, though. ugh... choices, choices.

anyone have/rec either of these? or something totally different?

I just use regular pillows. Two under my head, one between my legs, and one behind my back. Sometimes I cuddle one as well.

I had a Snoogley thing last time and I chucked it. I hated it. It was huge and hot. I have a thing against synthetic fabrics and stuffing so with my technique I get to use 100% down with cotton coverings.

I just have a small pregnancy wedge pillow to slide under my belly in the front, and then use two regular pillows - one between my knees and the other behind my back. Anything else is just too hot for me these days, and would take up too much room in the bed.

I ended up using a regular pillow..nothing "special" worked for me. Try a body pillow if you want a full body support.

My Snoogle and I are in a relationship. I created a pillow fort/nest in which I strap a frozen back ice pack thingy to it and surround myself with all of the pillows. I fall asleep like this and after a few hours FI comes in, takes half the pillows off the bed and squeezes himself in without waking me.

I love my snoogle! Yes, to turn over you would have to flip it which would be a huge pain, but i have found I just stick to my left side that way which is how we're "supposed" to sleep anyway.

I'm going to check out the other pillow you mentioned though-never heard of it.

I have a pillow very similar to the back & belly (its called Serenity Star) and I'm in love. I sleep better pregnant since I've gotten that pillow than I did before! Worth every penny IMO.

I bought the snoogle early on in pregnancy and I really love it...I usually stick another pillow under my head too...I noticed they have it at Burlington for $40 which is the cheapest ive seen...I'll prob use it after pregnancy as well!!

I told DH I would leave him if it came to a choice between him and the Back N Belly pillow... he slept on the couch for a bit-- the pillow needed more room. I used it upside down btw with my own pillow at my head for all around wonderfulness.

That said-- I have outgrown it already-- belly got too big and it's a bit hard to get in/out of bed 50 times during the night with- so it's packed up and being stored at my IL's for the next baby.

I use a body pillow I got from Walmart for $6! I don't flip it over but when I need to turn over I will either cuddle it or use it as back support. I bought two hoping that they would fit in our bed but that wasn't the case so I now have a back up in case this one goes flat... which it hasn't in three months so I think it will last another two months.

I have the Snoogle, and I love it. I use it both ways - with my belly against the full side, or my belly along the open side. Either way, I can have plenty of pillow between my knees and some under my belly.

I don't think I'd like the other one that goes all the way around, because I need the open part to be towards the outside of the bed at this point. At 38 weeks, there's no way I could climb over the side of the big pillow if there was no opening along the side to get out of bed and go to the bathroom, which happens many many times a night!!!

I have the mini snoogle and love it. I don't feel its too hot but it helps me sleep. This is my 2nd baby and i didn't have this pillow with my first i just used extra regular pillows and i love my mini snoogle!

The Snoogle is a complete lifesaver. I have back pain and I feel like it actually does help alleviate the pain. It is kind of annoying to have to turn it over every time you want to switch sides, but I sleep much longer and deeper overall. The Snoogle is my new best friend!
