I just turned 29 and thought the same thing about my face! I just started Accutane last month. We don't want to TTC again until next Spring so it should work out fine (there are really bad birth defects if you get pregnant while on it). I figure if I'm going to do it, it should be now. My face was fine until I got pregnant...now it's like I'm a teenager all over again!

I hear ya' - I am 39 and still get breakouts as if I was 15. It sucks. As the pp said, I had a nice break too during pregnancy, I had the best skin ever those months. I also have some discoloration from pregnancy, sun and old blemishes. Plan to invest in some laser treatment with the derm for sure. I'm over it and hate wearing cover up all the time, especially with the heat down here

That was me up until a few weeks ago. I actually went to get a facial cause it was getting so bad and was about to make an apt to see the derm cause it was getting out of control. Now that I am pg again skin seems to be clearing up again..haahaaa hormones

You can still get Accutane? I had heard there was a class action suit against them because of serious bowel-related side effects...?
I took it in my 20s and it was the best thing I ever did - it literally changed my life. The potential side effects are serious and nothing to joke around about, but if you can take it safely, I highly recommend it. I'm just asking because I've wanted to recommend it to people and wasn't sure if it was still being prescribed.
I'm on 2 prescription creams and still struggling. D@mn you PCOS. I had it terrible in high school and took accutain which worked well. But since being off BC I've had a hard time, I didn't even clear up when I was pregnant with DS.

Ditto this 100xs. I was on accutane in my 20s (I'm 34 now) and yep, it changed my life. Luckily, I had none of the side effects and all of the benefits.
After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!
Did it by chance coincide with the return of AF for you? I got my first postpartum AF three weeks ago, and about 2 weeks before that I noticed I was breaking out like crazy. And it has not gone away. Ugh.

Yes it is still on the market but closely ran by the government for the severe birth defects it causes. It was hilarious when I had to sign paperwork promising to NOT get pregnant the 6 months I'm on it and the month following. I had to explain to my dermatologist it took me nearly 2 years to get pregnant and now I was "pledging" not too...it was just odd!
You have to get monthly blood tests for pregnancy and cholesterol before you can get the next month's refill. You also have to answer questions on the website about the TWO forms of birth control you are using and pick it up within 7 days or you have to take another pregnancy test. It is serious business!
But I hope it will be worth it and I'll get the awesome results you two are describing!!! I've had lots of people recommend it to me.

I do believe we are in trouble when she gets older. She is already boy crazy! She loves to hug and kiss all the baby boys she interacts with
