Two Under 2

Diaper bags for two in diapers

Hello ladies-

I am just visiting to ask you all a question.  My first born has special needs and is still in diapers, has a feeding tube, etc.  I am on the hunt for a diaper bag that will fit everything that I will need for a newborn on top of everything I will need for a three year old with SN (meds, feeding supplies, extra outfit, diapers, bladder bads, blankie, sippy cup, etc).  We keep joking that we are going to need a suitcase to pull behind us Tongue Tied

I will be nursing the baby so that will open up some room in the bag.  I would really  like to have something that will clip to my stroller so that I can be hands free as much as possible.

Any suggestions?

We stopped using diaper bags a long time ago & use backpacks. They fit everything we need, allow me to have 2 free hands & I can hang it off of the stroller.

  • You might like the Ju Ju Be Be Preapred bag, although it is kinda pricy. They sometimes have deals on E-bay though. I have the Baby Bee Eglan bag and it is very roomy and can also be used as a backpack. I'm overpacker so I like carrying big, roomy bags but I also like having my hands free!
  • I've been looking into the Skip Hop Double duo (I think that is what it is called.)  My friend with twins LOVES it.. and it can clip on easily to stroller.

  • I have no diaper bag feedback, I am actually looking for one myself still.

But I wanted to say hi to you. I clicked on your blog and read your story. My son too was born with PUV. I have never come across anyone else who's son had the condition. My son only had a partial blockage so we didn't do anything significant in utero. We delivered at 36 weeks and he had a valve ablation 4 days later. He has zero function to one kidney but his creatinine is good at this point. He still has grade 5 reflux on both sides. He's going to be 2 in November and we'll be doing the surgery to taper his ureters and re-implant them in his bladder. They'll also be removing his right kidney. I think maybe reshaping the bladder walls as well. We expect to have issues with potty as well - the last VCUG showed that his bladder doesn't fully empty and his stream is very weak (and he doesn't notice himself going). Our nephrologist is unsure on how his remaining kidney will grow/function in time, so we aren't sure if he will need a transplant. Anyways, I don't mean to over-share but it felt so nice to realize that there is someone out there that would understand all those things (and much more in your case). I am amazed at what you have been through and so touched by your strength. Max seems like a very miraculous kid - you must be so proud.
