I work in a super small clinic. It is me and two other nurses...8 patient rooms and we rarely ever use more than 5 at a time. Super small.
On top of that, I never work more than 2 days a week at most. But I'm still dreading going to work tomorrow. Here's why...
One of the nurses is an elbower. You know the type? She says something that she thinks is funny and elbows you. Or, she wants to get your attention without speaking, so she elbows you.
All.day.long. with the elbowing.
Hardee har har har, elbow elbow
or
Elbow elbow, hey, see that ladies shoes? I like them
or
Elbow elbow, how's that little baby doing in there?
Oy...
Next??
Re: Coworker vents...let's hear 'em...
holy cannoli the nudging would drive me bonkers!
I have a few lately.
My co-worker says calls me "dear", mainly when she's clear on her way to demeaning me.
My other co-worker has been eating curry soup for a snack...YARF.
Annnd another co-worker has been walking around in the office with no shoes on because she has....wait for it....a BUNION.
Diagnosed PCOS & MFI-Success with IUI
That seems very annoying...I hate when people touch me, period (uninvited that is).
One of my co-workers is the closest talker I've ever met,...I try backing up, putting my leg out (picture doing a lunge) to create some space, and she just moves to my side.
Another calls me "hunny"...she also doesn't wash her hands after using the bathroom.
oh, and my boss tells the same fvcking story at least ten times and it's never a story anyone cares about.

OMG, the elbowing would need to stop!
I have a co-worker who very rarely makes it to work on time Monday mornings (if she comes in at all), and she always has some crazy story as to why she is late/not coming in. Like she sat in pee on the bus and had to go home for new pants, or someone stole rocks out of her landscaping and she is worried the dirt will fall everywhere, or that she thinks her cat has an eye infection and she is worried that his eye will need to be taken out if she doesn't get him in ASAP!
What is the most bothersome is that I honestly think she doesn't realize that everyone sees right through the stories (and, well, can smell the booze on her breath most mornings).
Yours reminds me of a Monty Python routine
I don't have co-workers, my husband is the closest thing. He just watched me kill a rat with a hammer, knowing that I'd already killed two other ones today, knowing that we have a rat infestation that he has done zero to control. The rat hole has been on the side of our house for several years now and he's never bothered to patch it up.
He just stands there watching me because "he's squeamish!"
Pisses me off!!!
i can't handle the lazy and phoney few ladies that i work with. while hardworking people are out of work, these lazy, poor character people get a job! i blame it on poor management. if it wasn't for the few great ladies that i'm friends with at my job, i'd be insane.
good topic. we all have our work irritations:)
