what "DAY TRIPS" have you taken with your LO by yourself?

I'm kind of a single mom these days with my husband working 3 jobs.  And now that I have the summer off, I'm looking for little trips to do with my son.

Has anyone gone to a museum or zoo or picnic with just their little one or do you usually meet up with other moms and kids?

    I do both.  But if I go alone we always seem to meet a new friend for LO!  So going alone isn't the worst thing and a great way to make new friends for you and LO!

    Both, but usually the two of us.  I do tons with her.

    Yep! DS and I went to Chattanooga to the children's museum and aquarium a few months back. 2 hour drive and he did fantastic! It was a lot of fun. We've also done local trips in the city.

    I've taken Tegan to the children's museum by myself. There were other kiddos there that she played with and I did talk to the parents, but we went by ourselves and then went out to breakfast by ourselves after the museum. It was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to doing it again. Tegan is so into playing at these types of places and is so interactive these days, that I don't feel the need to have another adult present.

    I do all of that myself. In fact, the kids and I spent the afternoon at the zoo today. Money's tight and we've had very little luck meeting other families, so the only Mom friends  I have are two cousins. One lives nearby but works f/t and the other is a SAHM who lives 4 hours away. If I waited for friends to do things I'd sit at home all the time.

    My DH works insane hours. I do day trips with my twin girls by myself pretty frequently. We have a zoo membership, so we go there a lot. I've taken them to the aquarium too. Sometimes I pack a picnic and we'll spend hours at the toddler park playing, eating and blowing bubbles. I plan on taking them to the children's museum and the sprayground soon. As long as I can keep the girls in a stroller or it's a pretty self-contained area, I'm comfortable going alone! We always have a blast too!

    DH is home Mondays and I am home Fridays so we both take DS out a lot on our own. I don't know very many SAHM's so it's usually just us. DH never has anyone to meet up with because there are no SAHDs around here. We take him to the petting zoo, children's museum, open gym, play place etc. etc. I rarely invite the SAHM friends I do have because our kids are all different ages and on different schedules for naps, preschool etc.

    I take DS places by myself all the time.  I don't have too many mom friends, so if we don't go alone it's with just one other mom/kid.
