Re: Mouseygail - specific question!!!

  • First of all...omg, is Daniel cute!!  he's changing so much!!!  loooove the new siggy!!

and second...yep!  i am amazed!  I mean...it was a bit like i was 17 all over again...and there actually was SOME pain and a little bleeding...but it wasn't like before and i think it probably added to the fun...if that isn't tmi! lol!!  Embarrassed

And seriously, I literally nursed him for the last time last week...so it was a quick turn around!!  (and man, it sure helps getting over any sadness about weaning!!)

Do you have any plans for weaning yet?

Thank you!  That picture is even a little bit dated - I have to do a summer one.  Too bad we're not closer I think the boys would have a ball together!!

Not TMI at all.  I don't have any weaning plans.  We're down to 4 times a day.  If I can't do one, he gets formula so there's a lot less pressure for me.  My DH gives him a bottle and puts him to bed 1 or 2 times a week.  The pump has never worked for me so quitting that helped me feel like less of a failure. lol  I still go to a BF support group so I think it helps me want to keep going.  He loves food so I don't know - he could just quit any day I guess. :(

For now we mostly stick with the "other" kind of sex. lol.  But I am glad to know that it's immediate.  It's so weird - the whole thing.  My DH says he can't feel any difference so he wouldn't even have known there was anything hurting.  And it isn't a, uh, moisture problem.  Happily that's all back again!!!

  • Ummm...sorry to butt in the conversation but how does it hurt?  I am new to breastfeeding and I haven't gotten my six week clear yet so I haven't attempted it at all.  Does it just hurt in the boob area if touched or does it hurt in the vaginal area?

Come on in!  It's the vaginal area.  For me it feels dry, even though it isn't.  It's just....uncomfortable.  In the beginning it hurt worse, actually painful.  Now it hurts less but still not fun.  I've kind of made the boobs off limits because I feel like they are not very sexual right now.

But congratulations on the baby!!!  How is breastfeeding going?  Sex was a real sore spot for us (no pun intended) because my DH just did not get that it wasn't on my mind.  He thought I was rejecting him and it simply was not even in my mind AT ALL.

Good to know.  I figure my boobs will be off limits too, even though DH is disappointed since this is the first time ever, I really have had boobs.   I told him that if he touches them he might be in for a gross surprise.

The baby is great but breastfeeding is definitely hard.  It is going well though, I just am feeling "on call" all of the time.  I would pay for a decent nights sleep.  Thanks for answering my question, I definitely didn't realize that it could be a factor in the bedroom area, good to have an idea that it might be different.

The same here!  I'd take my small ones back in a heartbeat - it's such a tease. lol.  I had no idea how hard breastfeeding would be.  I really struggled and couldn't imagine that it would ever get better.  But it really does.  It's a HUGE sacrifice.  I didn't know that it would be, but it is so worth it.  In a few months it really starts paying you back.  And formula really doesn't ensure a good nights sleep.  Babies are hard. :)
