I'm watching a piece on the Today Show about children and growth horomones. Some doctors give courses to children who are perfectly healthy and normal, but just short. I'm sorry but this is absolutely appalling to me. Why would anyone in their right mind subject a child to horomone treatments, not knowing the potentional long term effects? Just so the child can "fit in??" Some people are tall. Some people are short. Some are fat, and some are skinny. Its called diversity.
Joey was extremely small as a child and teenager. He was not only the shortest guy in his class, but the shortest person. His doctors always brought up growth horomones to his parents, and they always declined. His relatives are all short. Its not surprising that he was a little kid. Now he's still short (5'6'), but he's not a "little person" or anything. Good grief, what's next - lipo for toddlers??
OK that's my vent for the day....

haha I'm short but not scary at all. DH's aunt is not even 5 feet tall and is easily the most intimidating person I know.
Hmmmm....I'm at a disadvantage being a woman too but you don't see me asking for a penile implant. Seriously, this is so sad. I'd love to meet the parents that actually subject their kids to this.
