Poem for Daddy's day

What do you think about this poem I wrote to have framed with a pic of E & DH?

A Poem for My Daddy

Daddy,

You are always there when I need you,

And even when I think I don?t.

You watch me grow and learn,

And you pick me up when I fall.

You love to play with me,

And I love to tickle you.

You are my hero,

And I love to hold your hand.

Everyone calls me a Daddy?s Girl,

And I know that means I am funny, honest, and cute.

I love it when you chase me around the room,

But I also love to snuggle with you.

I love to eat breakfast with you every morning,

And you have great style when you pick out my clothes.

And when I say, ?No, no, no, I don?t want it!?

I really mean, ?I love you.?

Love,

Emmalee

  • Does she really mean "I love you" when she says that? I'd consider changing that line. I personally don't like it when people speak for their children, especially when those kids are verbal (even borderline verbal), so that line rubs me the wrong way.
