Success after IF

How is it that we go to the same pedi office and get different advice?!

:) I realize it's not totally crazy that different doctors within the same practice would have different opinions, but maybe it's a little odd? Dr. G wanted us to feed Will whatever we were eating from the start (honey, as long as it isn't raw, peanut butter, strawberries, etc. etc.) - he fully embraces the current AAP stance on foods like that (which is to not delay).

It's not a big deal, but I do find it interesting!

  • Nope, you are right. At 9 months we got the ok for all of that. For everything except for raw honey. But I still didn't do honey-related stuff until a year. It wasn't like I went out of my way to avoid it, I think it was more out of habit and lack of opportunity.

but I feel like our pedis are more lax about this stuff then others, so on here I tend to assume others are more conservative? maybe I should stop. :)

Ha. I didn't mean to call you out! ;)

Every time I ask Dr. G about things I hear on here that should be avoided, he gives me a look like I'm a crazy lady.

    Oh well. :)

  • Oh, I get the same thing. But I feel like we are risky trailblazers or something....don't you? Even though it is the official recommendation now.
