Take some ibuprofin an hour before the procedure, and bring your own pad. The one they provide you is gigantic and uncomfortable. Good luck! Mine didn't hurt at all
WELL... IT SUCKED FOR ME, ALTHOUGH I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS NO BIG DEAL. DO WHAT THEY SAY, TAKE SOME ADVIL BEFORE AND RELAX. ITS REALLY QUICK, THATS THE GOOD NEWS... GL
No advice from me but I just wanted to tell you good luck!

PP's have it...advil ahead of time, and bring your own pad, so you don't have to walk out in the diaper pad they give you like I did! The experience varies from person to person, some have no cramping, others have extreme cramping; mine was somewhere in the middle. The good news is that once it starts it goes by VERY quickly. They are in, take pics, and out, before you have too much time to be uncomfortable. GL!

Mine was done at a lab pretty far away, so I took my mom along. That really helped because we just talked and I didn't think about the HSG until my legs were in the stirrups. haha. Like the PP said, take some pain killers beforehand, and try your best to relax. It was pretty painful for me, but it only lasted a few seconds, so it's tolerable. GL!
Good luck and let us know how it goes! I'll hopefully be scheduling mine soon.

I just had mine at the end of April, and I was super nervous beforehand, too! Really though, it wasn't too bad at all, and like PPs have said, it was quick. The whole thing took about ten minutes. It was kinda cool to see the dye working its way through on the screen! My advice is not to worry too much about it. Good luck!!
No advice here, but I wanted to wish you good luck and I hope it goes well!!
