Hi all --
Sorry if this is a dumb question
Got a call from my doctor that I passed my 1 hr glucose test (so relieved), but that I am low in Iron so they want me to take Iron pills -- no biggie, I figure that's pretty common
They wanted to call a prescription in for them....but I asked if I could just get them over the counter, and she said I could but I'd just probably have to take 2 pills per day that way rather than 1 (Oh well?) ...unless there's other downsides to OTC I don't know about, doesnt seem like a big deal
Anyone else just taking over the counter iron supplements rather than prescription? If so is there a type/brand you recommend?
TIA

Re: Iron Supplements? Prescription or OTC?...
my doctor told me just to take the OTC
the pharmacist said it is important how you take it (with vitamin C, not at a meal, and at least an hour before or after any calcium which inhibits absorption)
