I need to come up with some better, easy snacks for DS to munch on while I'm making dinner. Right now he tends to get puffs or freeze dried fruit...but I'd like to start switching to more normal foods... ideas?
(btw...he's been having a blast feeding all of his puffs to the dog the last few days...I don't have the heart to stop his giggles and ruin his fun!! HA!)
Re: kid's favorite snacks?
Because we're fancy like that.
Because we're fancy like that.
In addition to what LC said we do veggie straws, although not really healthy, and the gerber cheese doodles. She loves these, although not sure they have any value add, except buying me time?

But Alex still PPH his puffs above all. That kid is like an old man, loves his routine!

Earth's Best makes fruit & cereal bars that are yummy, but a little messy.
Cherry tomatoes quartered
Cucumbers
Frozen peas. I just boil some up real quick on the stove, but you could probably heat them up in the microwave too?
And my bff's kid like to eat them frozen, not cooked, so there you go
At that age we did a lot of canned green beans or carrots as snack. Just heat up a few at a time in the microwave. I liked them because they were already soft enough for him to eat with very few teeth. We also did beans (black, navy, great northern).
Now I try to put him in his chair with some part of dinner that might be ready first (or he's least likely to eat much of). Tonight that was butter beans because they were ready first.
