  • I'm also going with sex and weight loss. Cause great sex leads to great sleep. And when I have kids they'll be geniuses :-) did I spell that right? And really does 15 IQ points make that big of a difference?

Oh, come ON.  Like I even have to answer.

-lose 15 pounds or have 15 points added to your kid's IQ?

Do my kids get 15 points each or do they have to split 'em?  If they each get 15, I want the IQ points.  If it's a measly 7.5 per child, forget it, I want those 15 pounds gone.

  • Ha!  I love the answers.  Makes me feel better.

I say sex and weight loss.  Yes, I can have sex whenever I want, but MIND BLOWING... not so much.  And how much of a difference would 15 IQ points make?  A is hella smart to begin with.

  • imageMrsRosie:

    - sleep

    - lose 15 pounds (judge away - my kid's already a genius)

    Duh and duh.

  • I get the mind-blowing sex, just not very often. I have a hard time sleeping though, so I chose sleep.

15 IQ points, for sure. However, losing 15# would put me underweight by about 11#. If I weighed a bunch more than I do now I would have a different answer and get DD a private tutor.  Wink

  • I don't have kids so I get to sleep uninterrupted most nights Stick out tongue so I'll go with the sex

Is the 15 IQ point different between being smart and a genius? Being normal and being smart? Being really low scoring and being normal? I think that impacts my answer.

  • Sleep and weight loss.

The longest stretch of sleep DS has ever slept is 7 hours, which only happened twice.  He is still up at least twice a night.  Since he refuses a bottle, mama hasn't had a break in six months.  ::sigh::

Sleep and lose 15 pounds.  My kids are plenty smart :)

One kid can have the full 15 points.  You can choose which kid.  Who gets the points?

DEFINITELY THIS.  I don't think it matter what anyone's IQ is.  What you do with what you have matters way more, imo.

  • -have a full night of uninterrupted sleep or mind blowing sex?

Sex, for sure! We get plenty of sleep, and sex post-baby has been lacking. DH and I both agree, and we both know it's my fault. Even though sex feels better post birth (I know, I cannot explain this, it just does), my post baby body is soo disgusting, I'm never in the mood. We could really use some mind blowing sex. We used to have an enviable sex life .... not so much now Sad

-lose 15 pounds or have 15 points added to your kid's IQ?

As much as I need to loose 15 pounds, I'm going with IQ points. As someone who grew up in a family of smart people (I lived with THREE count them, THREE validictorians. I can't even spell that Confused), I really appreciate intelligent people. I do think there is a point where being too smart makes your life harder, and I definitely don't want that for her, but I do want her to have above average intelligence and skills. Me being 15 pounds thinner doesn't make Olivia's life any easier, but 15 points on her IQ might. I can loose 15 pounds on my own. Adding IQ points is something you only get a chance to do once ever To Day show blue moon Wink

  • Hands down.... sleep and weightloss!!!

  • - sex

    - 15 lbs. It would put me under, but then I would let myself eat fried foods again.

  • Sex and weight loss.  My kids are brilliant.

  • Just so we're clear- the full night only applies to the sleep, not the sex, right? Because there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

That being said, I'll take sex and 15 lbs. My kids a genius and she sleeps through the night. Big Smile But I want the 15 lbs postpartum.

  • Hmm...  Sleep and IQ points.  Only because I'm so overweight that 15 pounds isn't going to make much of a difference.  If we were talking 50 pounds, my answer might be different.  ;)

  • Clarification: my kids STTN.  I'm considering a 'full uninterrupted night' to mean I go to bed when I want and sleep until whenever I want.  As opposed to being in bed by 10 because I know there will be a 7am wake up call.  I wanna watch Letterman!

I don't remember the last time I had uninterrupted sleep that lasted ALL night, so I'd take that.

I'd also take the extra IQ points for my kid because I could look at a pizza and gain that all right back, but barring a blow to the head, an increase in IQ would likely be permanent. Stick out tongue

  • Sex and weight loss, for sure!

Although if the IQ points were the difference between really low scoring and average, I'd probably pick the IQ points and continue to work my ass off ;)

  • Sleep and IQ.  15 pounds and I'd be dead.  Really.
  • Sleep and weight loss, hands down.  One IQ point more and my kid will totally pwn my ass. She already outsmarts me more often than I care to admit. Embarrassed
  • Sleep and IQ. My doctor would kick my ass if I lost 15 lbs.

  • I asked DH last night and he said IQ.  Apparently 15 points is a big difference.  Then he told me I'm a bad mom.

Whatevah.  A bad mom with a hot ass.

  • It depends on the day for the first one. Right now I could really use some sleep but mind blowing sex sounds niiiiice.

15 points to my kids IQ, no doubt.

  • Sex and weight loss for me, too.  The 15 lbs would put me at my goal weight (5 lbs below pp weight) and sex has not been mind-blowing since DD was born.  Probably for a lot of the reason that SLB said...I'm not happy with my body right now.
