When my boys were that age we did a road trip that was 2 8 hr legs with a 10 hr drive home. We came home for 2 days and then got on a flight for 4 hrs.
Whatever you are going to give them in the car to play with have a lot of options. We kept all toys in a bin behind the drivers seat so that the passenger could reach it to hand back a new toy when one was dropped.
We kept drinks in a cooler in the middle.
Diapers and wipes we had in another bin behind the passenger for quick roadside changes.
bring a towel or 2 in case someone gets sick. With this keep a few plastic bags for clothes you dont want smelling up the car.
When you get out of the car if they are awake get them out so they can move.
Stay calm and things will be great. You will be amazed how much they will sleep
