I'll start this funny story at the beginning....
Yesterday I had to get to the office early for an early meeting, so I left DD in DH's capable hands. I packed her lunch, packed her backpack and got clothes picked out and left on her bed for her to get dressed in the morning for SUMMER CAMP. About 2 hours into my day I get a text message from H saying, "I don't think she put shorts on under her dress." My thoughts raced in this order 1.) WTH is she wearing a dress? It is summer camp? 2.) WTH isn't she wearing the clothes I left on her bed for her to wear? and 3.) WTH would DH let her go to summer camp in a dress?! So I texted back, "A dress? I left clothes out for her." His response: "I'll thump her on the head when she gets home."
Soooo...I went on about my day. When I got to the summer camp to pick her up, my heart dropped and my face flushed, she was not wearing a dress she was wearing the SHIRT I left on her bed to wear, but no pants. OMG. Just a shirt!! Granted, it was a longer shirt, but still no dress. Everytime she moved her underwear showed. I was mortified. AND, to top it off, she was wearing little white ballet flats with her "dress." I am sure the camp counselors were talking about what kind of parents let a kid wear a shirt to camp? Sheesh.

Nope, she thought the shirt was long enough for a dress. We had the "only wear what I leave out for you" conversation though the moment we got in the car
That is hysterical!
It makes me feel much better about the fact that my DH has sent DD to daycare with a shirt and a jumpsuit on backwards on two different occassions because he insists that "buttons always go in the front, right?"
I love men.
