Success after IF

Jack pooped in potty and dumped it in big potty by himself!

Seriously - I was not even looking and he yelled "I did a POOP!" and I looked and saw a giant turd sort of half in the potty - best I can figure out he knew he was about to go poop and tried to sit on potty all on his own because my back was turned.  So THAT in itself is exciting - THEN - I was going to get some wipes to wipe his bum I look and he has the little potty receptacle and I'm thinking "oh crap - that turd is going to end up on the floor" but he ran into bathroom and before I could even say anything dumped it in the big potty and flushed.

Color me IMPRESSED!  He's really gettin' the idea!  (We do diaper free/potty time at night - that's pretty much it though for now.)

Wheee!

  • Yay Jack!!!!

    WAHOOOO!!!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • That's awesome!  Aaron hasn't yet gotten to that point.  I'm for sure impressed!

  • Go Jack!!  YAY!
  • Wow!  That's great!  DS will not poop in the potty yet.  He will pee (and force himself even if he doesnt have to which is funny - he asks to go potty, I dont make him) so we got some pull ups to make things easier when we're out because putting a diaper on while in a public stall is not the easiest thing.  Yesterday was the first day with them and we didnt have much success.

That is wonderful!! :) Go Jack!
  • When my girls started doing that I knew they were truely ready to be in panties full time because they had taken on the responsibility of clean up and didn't need Mom for going on their own. Of course they do still need me to wipe them and clean up the little potty. But they go without me asking anymore and just come tell me when they are done. I was also able to get one to start going on the big potty this week instead and that has helped a lot with the clean up.

Good for Jack for taking this on himself.
