Dc sleeping with blanket ?

What size blanket does your dc sleep with ?

Is it knit, 100 % cotton, 100 % polyester, lightweight, heavyweight ??

Last year Cam wasn't using one and I need to get one for this winter.

All of his blankets are too small. I'm assuming I want a 100 % cotton one.....

Re: Dc sleeping with blanket ?

  • I have no idea what Sara's are. ?She has 4 of them. ?3 are from Carters. ?2 say "Baby" on them and 1 is pink w/ stars. ?1 is from an outfit I got from Costco. ?It is pink on one side and pink w/ Piglet's face on the other.

She cuddles with all of them and I try to cover her with the pink one that says "baby" because it is a little bit bigger than the others. ?Usually she picks a blanket and tries to cover herself with it. ?

  • I was thinking that Jonah needs a blanket now, too. It's getting colder and his room can be the coldest room the house at night... But he moves around so much in his crib that he probably won't keep it on. :( I don't know what to do.
  • I cover G with a blanket that my parents got me when I was 10. It is pinkish with kittens on it and I think it was fleece or something. It's pretty big. big enough for the both of us to snuggle under.
  • I'm not sure what material Logan's blankets are but he has 2 of them -- one lightweight and one heavier.  Since he has a tendency to kick them off within an hour or so, I also put a sweatshirt on over his pj's and socks too.
  • Garrison sleeps with two special blankets.  One is a heavy hand make quilt.  We just recently gave this to him like the last month but he has quickly become attached to it.  I think it cotton.  The other is the one my mom made for him out of that super soft mink material.  Both are oversized blankets perfect for a toddler, he has room to grow with them.
  • Ryan has like 3 or 4 blankets in his crib.  All are small blankets to snuggle with.  He won't stay under them so I'm not sure if that was more what your question was. :)  Today is the first morning that I noticed his feet were cold (in a fleece footed sleeper).  Tonite he'll sleep with sock on under his jammies.  Oh and the heat kicked on automatically this morning at 6:00 - that means it was below 68 upstairs.:(

  • Ty sleeps with two; however, he usually ends up on top of them. He's been in fleecy, footed pjs for a couple weeks now. The blankets at this point are more a security thing for him versus a warmth thing.

He's got one Carter's blanket- the one with stars and one from target it's green with green dots- I forget the name of the maker. They are about the same size (the length and width of the crib mattress).

  • If G is sleeping by himself in the crib (since it is cold here) he sleeps with two of the ones I make, 100 % cotton flannel (because I have so many and never got around to making a double layer one for Z or G.) Z used them until she moved to her BGB and now she has her BG quilt on her bed. You need something around 40 inches or bigger.
    Mama to Z - 5.5 years, G - 3.5 years, & M - 1.5 years.
  • The boys have their PBK "My Best Blankie" in their beds. But I also bought them these really soft chamois blankets from PBK on sale a year ago. I tuck those on the mattress under the boys since they also tend to end up on top of them in the morning.
