hyatt lost pines

Anyone ever been?  DH and I are thinking of going just for a night.  His mom is going to be here the second weekend in July, and she offered to watch DD for us for a day/night.  What did you do there?  What restaurants did you enjoy?  It looks beautiful!

Re: hyatt lost pines

  • I have!  I went with a group of girlfriends, so mostly we just ate and chatted, but:

There's a huge pool area for lounging/swimming/floating.  At night, you can make your own smores.  They actually had a bunch of activities going on most of the day/evening, but we didn't try them all, and some were more kid focused.

We ate at the Stories Restaurant, which was good but very expensive.  We had lunch at the poolside grill, and it was fine--nothing spectacular.

In case you're open to additional suggestions, a few weeks ago, I went with a group to JW Marriott in San Antonio.  It's fairly new, and I felt like it made the Hyatt Lost Pines seem shabby by comparison.  We did the pool stuff most of the day (lazy river, lounging in the shade, water slides (on tubes)).  They also have a ton of activities going on all the time.  (Like evening smores.)  We ate at Cibolo Moon for dinner, and it was excellent.  (We did go back there for lunch the next day, and I was not impressed with the lunch options.)  We had lunch one day poolside, and it was really good, though.  (Ordered from waiter, didn't go to poolside restaurant.)

    Have a fun getaway!

  • I'm doing a fly-by, so I apologize for this being so brief.

Pools, spa, golf - we had a blast.  The restaurants and bars on-site were good.  We didn't leave!  It is a great relaxing place to go.  I'm jealous!!!!  Have fun.

  • Fa1ry- which one, lost pines or JW San Antonio?
