Comfort in Jeans....

I don't know if it's me or not but, I can not find any comfortable pairs of maternity jeans! I finally found one but ended up returning it because they were too thick and i can't stand the heat! I need some jean capris. Anybody know where I can find something comfortable? I want ones that do not have the elasticated band,

Re: Comfort in Jeans....

  • the Gap and Old Navy make some jeans that are no-panel, or a regular looking waistband that's stretchy.

  • Agree with pp. I found a pair of jeans at Old Navy Maternity for about $30. They go under the belly and aren't too thick. They're stylish and really comfortable for the summer - probably because they aren't the highest quality, but I took into account how long I was actually going to wear them when looking at the price tag.
  • Thanks! I've been stuck wearing my leggings for 5 months! Even though I have short ones I'm just sick of leggings! lol I want some jeans!!!.

Do they have the jeans in store? Or is it only online?

not all stores have a selection in store - if you check the store locator, the results should tell you if they have maternity.

  • I haven't found any comfortable jeans either. I've purchased 5 pair from Gap and Old Navy and have returned 4 of them. I've tried demi panel and full panel. The only pair I've kept are full panel, skinny jeans from Old Navy. I am still wearing all of my old jeans and just using a belly band to cover the unbuttoned jeans. I guess I'm grateful that at almost 22 weeks I can still wear my jeans :)

I'm going to try the maternity outlet store near my house this weekend. Hopefully I find some good pants!

  • I splurged and went to Pea in the Pod. Yes, they're more expensive but I only plan on buying one pair  for the whole pregnancy and hope to be able to wear them in future pregnancies. Jeans are the one area I prefer quality over quantity.

  • I have a pair I love that I got from Gordman's. I prefer the full panel on my pants though, unlike PP. I think they are more comfortable and don't put pressure on my ute like the ones the sit under the belly. I don't need the whole panel yet, so I just fold it over.

This exactly, except I do use the full panel occasionally right now being pregnant with twins.  My last pregnancy I wore full panel jeans from Kohls.  This pregnancy I refuse to wear jeans.

  • I bought some Motherhood ones at Kohl's this weekend. They are full panel, but I can fold it down easily under a loose fitting top. Super cute, too.

  • I recently got a pair without the panel from Beall's.  They're only located in FL, but you could probably order a pair online.  I typically prefer the full panel ones (definitely NOT the demi-panel... hate those!), but I'm giving these a shot. :)
