Beta 40 at 16DPO (not me)?

Any success stories with this level? What do you think?

My little sister lost a baby around 18 weeks pregnant about a year and a half ago to triploidy. She just found out she's pregnant again, but despite 3 positive home tests, the pee test at her dr's office was barely positive. They told her they think it's a chemical. 

She's 16DPO (based on charting) and just go the lab to tell her that her HCG level was 40. The dr's office hasn't actually called her back yet. 

Any thoughts? I want this to work out for her so badly.

    Im completely lurking so I hope you don't mind me answering but my firt beta for this pregnancy was 38 at 5dp10dt (15dpo) so I would say that your sister shouldn't give up hope! I've definitely heard success stories with even lower betas. Wishing her the best of luck!

    I'd say its possible b/c with charting, her dates might be off by a day or two.
