Looking for new friends in the same boat!

Hi,

 I don't know if this is weird or not, but I'd really like to get a few girlfriends who are in the same boat as me.  I'm 30 years old, newly pregnant and I'm due around Feb 4th 2011.  I just moved to the city, I live RIGHT next to Wrigley Field.  It has been a lot of fun (win or lose we booze), but now being pregnant with all the crazies and party animals - not so much!  I'd love to exchange emails and meet some other preggos in the area.  

If you are looking for friends to share your pregnancy with and just get another friend, I'd love to exchange emails!

    I'm due next weekend and turning 30 next weekend.  When I first moved here I found people by creating my own groups (brunch groups) that I posted Craigslist and went to meetup.com events.  I am up for making new friends as all the friends I made here are still single and clearly leave me out of their plans, especially being pregnant.  I moved here without knowing anyone, so I understand your situation.  I met some nice married girls here on The Nest and we have a book club.  I am the first one of that group having a baby, but one other girl is a couple months behind me.  Let me know!

    Congratulations!  You are so close, good job :)  Are you nervous about the birth? Sounds like a big weekend for you. I understand that about the single friends leaving you out of things, I am already experiencing that being pregnant this short time

    I have been with my 'husband to be' for a year and a half. (Getting hitched in August)  I've experienced a lot of changes in the last couple years, and a lot of my friends have changed, then I moved to boot.  

     Anyways, thanks for responding.  I love reading, sounds like we may have similar interests, and I also am looking for potential friends who have signifigant others and are starting families.  It's difficult to maintain close friendships when you are at different stages in life.  

     How long have you been married?   

    Is this your first baby? Did you find out the gender?

    Hey there!  Not in the same boat, but I'm close!  We live in Wrigley and I just had my son on May 2.  I'd be happy to give advice/share my limited expertise if you're interested.  Good luck with your pregnancy!

    I'm 30 and I'm 26 weeks pregnant, due in September.  I live near the Lincoln Park/Lakeview border.  I'm the other pregnant girl in the book club celiabeth mentioned.  I'm interested in making new married/pregnant/mommy friends, too.  I'll send you my email address.

    I'm 34 and due September 1st with our first baby. We live in Lincoln Park, just west of DePaul. All of our friends in the city are single, no kids so it would be great to meet up with some other moms!

    I would also love to meet up with everyone!  I am a "little" older at 36, but we live right near Wrigley Field and I am due Jan 29 with my first.  Will send an email later today.

    Hi!  My name is Jessica and I am 30 and my hubs and I are expecting our first baby Dec. 23rd.  I moved to the city a few years ago, but work in the suburbs and have had little opportunity to meet 30-somethings that are in the city.  The friends I do have are all single and partying it up (I miss wine SO much!!!).  I live in Lincoln Park right near the Armitage/Halsted shops and would love to connect with other moms-to-be.
