I'm thinking of getting DH a gift certificate for a round of golf somewhere for Father's Day but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg! We have a local golf course he plays at but I was thinking he'd enjoy something different. Anyone have any suggestions? We're about 30mins from B'ham but any area really would be fine, he wouldn't mind driving I don't think. Well as long as it didn't take a couple hours to get there Smile

    Not sure what direction you're 30 mins. from B'ham... but for a cheap game, DH plays at Frank House Municipal Golf Course in Bessemer.  For a nicer course, he likes Bent Brook Golf Course in Bessemer/McCalla.  I know there are really nice courses like Ross Bridge, but he's not that good and just likes to play for fun with friends.  ;)  Both have recently had Groupon/Living Social deals if you want to take the time to watch out for another deal in the future.

    My DH like Gunter's Landing in Guntersville but that might be too far to drive for you.

    We're 30 mins south of B'ham so I doubt he would want to drive to Guntersville. I'll check those other 2 places, thanks!
