Every single day I'm amazed at the crazy little adult like things LO does. What did your LO figure out well before you thought he/she should be able to?

Yesterday LO figure out how to open the sliding screen patio door. It never crossed my mind that she would figure it out this early. The handle is way about her head and yet she figured out how to use pressure and her tiny fingers to slide the darn thing open. I found her opening it to let the dogs in - lol! Guess I'll be figuring out a lock for it this weekend.

well, we don't have a kiddo yet, but one of our cats has figured out how to open the sliding door to the upstairs closet. O_o i'm pretty sure this is the first sign of the apocalypse.
Eli and my sister's 9-mo old had a play date when they were in town 2 weeks ago. They amused themselves by working screws out of a hinge on the screen door--yikes!!!

There are so many things that amaze me! Climbing backwards off the couch already, scaling the credenza (sp.) to get to the keys, going from the couch to the coffee table to the footstool to the chair to get to the door knob to try to twist it open. Little Man loves to screw lids on and off plastic jars, and Peanut figures out how to manipulate objects (big and small) to get them where she wants them...without bulldozing through items.
Yep True, there must have been something in the air when your and K's JB was born and ours. (We are only a month or so apart, correct?)
You mean like when Henry crawled over to the kitchen cabinets, stood up, and popped the child safety lock off them in 2 seconds with one hand? Yeah, I think I know what you mean.

Um...that is terrifying. Henry is so not allowed to teach Eli that trick

I don't have to worry about this because I haven't bothered to lock any of the cabinets ;-) lol! She knows (for the most part) which ones she is allowed to open (tupper ware) and which ones are off limits (vases). We'll see how long that lasts though :-p

We have two locked cabinets - one breakables, one cleaning supplies. There are two unlocked - a pantry cabinet that he goes in (he's rather fond of lasanga noodles), and a corner one that he hasn't figured out how to open (luckily, because it would be hard to find a lock for!). He also has access to a couple of drawers that he can play in. Even with the drawers and pantry cabinet available to play in, he is obsessed with the ones he can't have!
OY VEY ... as if i dont have enough to worry about ... LO eta is 30 days YIKES but Melanie and I already feel them conspiring against us in utero. Melanie especially feels that they are because of the crazy movement and things they do inside her belly.
We were not going to childproof but now after reading all these things I am re thinking things ... all furniture will be in the garage and cabinets empty - HAHAHAH
Why dont they make hampster bubble for kids!!! <<<<<EVILGRIN >>>> im joking
