Sent my sample into the Bone Marrow Registry today!
It is something that I had been thinking of doing for a while but after hearing about Kate and having someone post the link to sign up to be on the bone marrow donor list, it was the extra little push I needed to stop being lazy and actually do it.
The packet came quickly, I just had to swab my cheek with 4 q-tips and send it back. Couldnt have been easier.
Now here's hoping that I am a match to someone! And of course we are all especially hoping that someone (maybe an SAIFer!!) is a match for Kate!

DH and I both did this after we had Stella. It was a super easy and fast process! We are ready and willing to donate if/when the time comes.
This makes me so happy! I love that Kate's story has inspired so many people to "be the match" and help save lives! Praying Kate's perfect match is found quickly.

I'm not eligible until next April : ( Obviously I won't be Kate's match - she will be on her way to a full recovery by then : )
What are the qualifications to be a donor and can someone post a link to how to become a donor?
