hey ladies. We have always used either the concentrate of the ready to feeds liquid similac, but we are going to start using the powder because we have SO much of it, from free samples. i know this probably sounds like a stupid question but is it easy to use? How do you measure it out? I haven't read the instructions just yet. Is it measured like 3 scoops for 3 ounces of water? Do you recommend putting the water in the bottle first or the powder? Sorry if these all sound like dumb questions but some of my friends hate using the powder and I just wanted some advice or tips on it. Thanks ladies!
Re: powder similac
1 scoop per 2 oz of water. So for 4 oz bottle you will use 2 scoops.
We use only bottled water. But others use filtered tap water or nursery water.
You must put the water in the bottle first then add the powder. The powder will effect the water level and not give you an accurate amount of water.
Hope this helps!!!
This is very true
Premix the night before, and make a big half gallon jug and place it in the refrigerator. It will prevent all the bubbles from forming right before your LO drinks it.
thanks a great idea!! Thanks
my two cents...warm your water before you put the powder in. the powder mixes/disolves better in warm water. if you have to use cold or room temp water, it'll be fine, but i've found putting the water through the bottle warmer first works better.
i would also recommend stirring, not shaking, the bottle to mix it (assuming you don't use a Dr. Brown's pitcher). shaking it definitely gives tons of bubbles...
Best 15 bucks I have spent. Get it on Amazon, it is the cheapest place I found it.
