How 1 song can  remind you of all the feelings and just take you back to that momment? I had that happen this morning. Goo Goo Dolls, "I wont tell them your name"

Reminded me of what a depressed upset angry pre-teen i had been. How my mom ignored that fact that step dad beat me over every little thing. How she was in such a deep depression, neglecting my sisters and i . How i took care of my sisters, cooked and cleaned, when i was supposed to be out enjoying myslef.

I can to terms along time ago that i was robbed of many things. many experiences. but every now and then . SIGH , i just wish it hadnt been that hard.

i may DD, i just needed to get it out, so i can move on with my day. Darn that mix 106!

    Hugs. I am sorry you went through all that. I think watching our kids grow up having so many of the things we didn't (like a stable loving home) can be really hard at times.

    We've talked about childhood experiences before.  What I always come back to is that, had I not LIVED through it all, I wouldn't be who I am now.  As much as we long for an easier path in life, I wouldn't trade it.  Even though it leaves scars, even though it aches from time to time, it's worth it for all the blessings I have in my life now.

    I'm so sorry you had to go through all that.  You didn't deserve that.  But I agree, it made you the awesome, wonderful person you are today.  Big hugs my friend.
