HELP! I'm a BAD WIFE! :-(

Okay, so I'm a bad wife and I am going away on vacation for a week (without DH) and will be gone over Father's Day (my nephew is getting baptised on Sunday [lives in FL] and DH doesn't have an vacay days left so he can't go).  Obviously baby hasn't arrived yet, but DH is already not thrilled that I'm going to be gone for a week, add on top of that that it's Father's Day, and he's doubly un-thrilled.  So...I need help from you lovely ladies.  I want to do something special for him for his first Father's Day, but I don't know have any idea what I should do! 

Any help would be great...TIA! :)

    Steak and a BJ before you leave.

    And - how about get some little gifts, wrap them and put them in places around the house where your DH wouldn't normally look.  Leave a card for him to open that sends him to go get a gift.  He can open that and there would be a note to the next one, etc.  You could get him a book about being a new Daddy, maybe a burp cloth or rattle or something with his favorite sports team on it, and perhaps a bottle of whatever his favorite liquor is to toast his impending fatherhood with.

    Oh! I love that idea...you are brilliant!  I might have trouble with hiding spots since we have 4 dogs that tend to get into everything, but I could at least get him a little present for every day that I'm gone!!

    Just so you know, taking this trip and missing Father's Day doesn't make you a bad wife. It makes you a human being dealing with every day real life. Don't be so hard on yourself!! :o)
