am runs

DH gets up at 4:30 to go to work, I try to get up then too to workout, but lately DD has also been getting up.  This morning I did yoga from 4:40-5 then planned to run on the treadmill but DD woke up.  The sun was slightly out and I would have felt fine running on my own, but I felt like people would have thought it was child abuse if they saw me running w/ DD that early.  Would you ever run at 5 am w/ the stroller?  I only have another week till I'm out for the summer, I'm not sure if in the fall it would definitely be too dark

Re: am runs

  • Definitely not child abuse - haha.  I would never wake them up so I could run, but if they are already up, might as well!  Who cares what other people think.

  • I frequently see people with strollers on my morning runs (which are generally closer to 6am). I don't think twice about it. As the pp said, I wouldn't wake them up specifically for the run, but if they are already awake why not. I think it is a great way to start the day - get them out for some fresh morning air. :)
  • Go for it! When my LO wakes up before I go out running, he comes along...sometimes during the 5:00 a.m. hour.
