Ages 10, 7, 4, 4, and 3.
#1. It does really just keep getting easier as they get older. I know I've got a 16 yr old but he's so far removed that I forget what it was like at age 7 and 10.
#2. My kids are really much much much much better behaved than I give them credit for.
#3. My kids are much more flexible than I realize they are.
#4. I need to lighten up a bit.
#5. I love seeing my kids love their cousins almost as much as I love getting to spend time with them myself.
Re: What I learned watching 5 kids last week
This one is so sweet and true! My brother and family were visiting from FL this last week and it just melted my heart seeing how attached and affectionate Toodle was with his cousins. He kept running around asking for "AmiKolya" (their names are Amelie - aka Ami, and Kolya, and he kept running them together), asked for them first thing when he woke up, and cried when they weren't around. It was just wonderful and we can't wait to bring him to visit them now.

OMG.... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
I just listened to "Divergent" (can't underline, sorry) by Veronica Roth. Similar to HG in concept (futuristic dystopian society).
Some on the book club board liked it better than HG.
And if you read it I'll tell you some trivia about the author that will probably blow your mind.
I really really liked it. Not sure I loved it more than HG but it made 12 straight hours in the car FUN.
Have you read "The Art of Racing in the Rain" yet?
If you're looking for smut the Black Dagger Brotherhood series is one I've started. Not amazing but fills the bill for some random smut.
Right now I'm listening to "If I stay". It's interesting but kinda heavy.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
YOU are awesome! Will get Divergent ASAP. And hey - did you ever read Stephanie Meyers novel that she wrote for grown-ups (as opposed to Twilight which she wrote for teens ha ha!) It is called The Host (showing off my underlining) and it definitely sucked me in and kept my attention. Again, not HG good - but still a good page turner.

I did read it.
Sadly I read it while in the throws of my Twi-obsession (books). I was looking for it to be similar so I hated it.
HATED it.
I'm sure if I went back and read it now I'd enjoy it more because I would know not to hope for something Twi-similar.
And since it's being made into a movie I'm sure I'll do a re-read before the movie's released!
BTW... speaking of book movies have you read "The Help" yet?
I struggled to read it because I don't read accents well (except for Jamie... I could read that man saying "verra" all day long!). I ended up listening to the audio book and really liked the story. Now I can't wait for the movie!
