Any thoughts on what this might be (maybe teething)?

Ruby has been a little off over the last few days.  On both Sunday and Monday night, she went to bed at her normal time (7:30), and woke up screaming at about 10:15.  She wasn't wet or hungry, she was just upset.  DH rocked her for a few minutes and she went back to sleep.  She's also been pulling on her ears a bit in the last few days, and she pooped 6 times (yes 6) yesterday.  I've heard the poop is more mucousy when they are teething, but this is just normal poop (one of them a bit harder than normal).

She doesn't have a fever and otherwise she seems fine, except that her naps were very short yesterday, probably due to all the pooping.  Would you call the doc?  Any thoughts, advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

    My first guess would be an ear infection. I'd probably give it another day or two and see if her behavior changes at all before calling the pediatrician, but I tend to try to wait out things if I can. Will had nights like that every once in awhile - most of the time he was just having an off day or three, but on two occasions he did end up having an EI with no other symptoms and no fever.

    Thanks.  I was thinking that too - whatever it is, just wait and see if she's just having a few off days before calling the doc.
