I have been trying to buy something on Amazon for two days but every time I put it in my cart, I got an error message and it wouldn't let me order the product. I was going to call Amazon last night but then I saw they have a chat feature so I used that.
The first time I tried to connect, I never got a representative response and it seemed like it wasn't working properly so I closed the chat session and tried again. The second time, I connected with a rep and she said she would forward the issue with ordering that product to the technical team to fix it and that they would also send me an email once it was fixed so I could order the product. She also issued me a $10 credit to my account as a courtesy. I didn't even ask for this so I was pleasantly surprised because that's how much the product costs so I'll get it for free.
Then, this morning, I got an email from Amazon saying that they saw that one of my chats was disconnected and that they are still testing the chat feature. They also said they researched my account and see that I was later able to connect with another rep to discuss my issue but that if I need anything else to contact them again. I have never received an email like this from a company so again, I was so impressed.
Amazon definitely gets an A+++ in my book for customer service.

In fact, he's starting to have a love affair of his own. Sometimes he tells me, "I need to buy XYZ so I'll check to see if Amazon has it." He's also stopped teasing me about all of the packages that come to our door because now, half the time they are his. So, we are both hooked.
