1st non-family babysitters today:-/!!!

We have lucked out and we have never had to hire babysitters or use daycare for the kids. Well due to some changes in our schedules and the IL's telling us that they can only babysit 4 hours a week (that's another story) we finally had to cave and we hired our 2 16 year old neighbors to watch them 2 days a week (9-3). Our next door neighbors have triplets that are 16 (2 girls and a boy) and the girls are super excited about babysitting. They are going to bring over arts & crafts projects for them. It makes me feel better knowing that there are 2 of them. I know DD will be perfectly fine but I worry about DS giving them a hard time. So basically it is going to be a long work day for me just wondering how things are going back home:-)

  • Aw, that sounds perfect!  That will be so much fun for Ryan.  Those girls will have a ton of energy and will enjoy it.

  • Hope today goes fast for you!  That's wonderful that you have two girls so close to you willing to babysit.  I'm sure it will work out perfectly.

  • It sounds like a great opportunity for the neighbor girls and I'm sure R&S will have a lot of fun!  We have not had to do this either, so it makes me nervous as well.  But it is awesome that you know them well!!

We had our first non family/close friend babysit last week.  B loved the sitter I hired!

FWIW, it was kind of a sense of relief for dh and I that we added an alternative to our sitter list.  It sounds like it will go really well!

  • My kids are always well behaved for everyone else. I bet they will have a blast!

I was going to say this, too. Smile
