Eco Sprout?

Hi, I am a first time mom-to-be and CD newbie. I've been lurking around here since we decided to try CDs but this is my first post.

I'm trying to decide what kind of detergent to try with our stash and I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with Eco Sprout detergent?

If it matters, our stash includes Kissaluvs size 0 fitteds, prefolds and a few Thirsties covers to get started and then mostly BumGenius 4.0 one size. And we have soft water.

Any advice or other recommendations for detergents, etc., are greatly appreciated!

Re: Eco Sprout?

  • We've used EcoSprout for the past 3 months now and have had no problems.  We didn't have that many problems with Tiny Bubbles either.  It really just depends on your wash cycle and routine.  Have you looked at the FAQs for this board? There is a listing somewhere in there of the soaps approved for cloth diapers.

  • Hi! Thanks for responding. I have looked at the FAQs and the detergent lists and since EcoSprouts was not listed, I just wondered if anyone on here had used it before. I'm interested in trying it out, though, so thanks for sharing your experience.

  • My local CD store pushes the eco-sprout, but I didn't find it to be any different than RnG.
  • I haven't tried RnG, but I haven't had a reason to, either, as far as a stripping or major issues (that's what I've seen it recommended for before).  I'm partial to the EcoSprout because the In the Buff (unscented) does not cause any issues for me or LO.  I have really insane outdoor allergies so most scents drive me nuts.
