I got a B complex gummy vitamin today instead of just straight b6 pill (mainly b/c I will shoot myself if i have to swallow one more danged pill). so it says it has 100% of the DV for b6. But how much do they recommend for helping get rid of m/s? I forgot to look on the straight b-6 bottles and see how much is in there.
Anyone one talked to their OB about the right dose for helping with m/s?
Re: s/o B6- how much?
My doctor has me taking 25mg of B6 three times a day. I was only able to find 100mg tablets, so I have to cut them to get the estimated dosage. I'm not sure if it matters that I spread it out during the day versus taking it all at once.
My OB said 50mg 3 times a day (she also said to take it with a half a unisom) for m/s.
I tried 50 and it didn't help. I tried 100 and it didn't help either. I told her that I upped it and she said it wasn't a big deal, but if it didn't work at 50, I'd need something bigger. I'm now taking Zofran.
Hope that helps!
I was taking 50 mg before my BFP so I have continued to take it. I haven't had any m/s ::knocks on wood:: but I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. I didn't ask my Dr about it, just told her I was doing it and she was ok with it.
