Quick question. I know that as the months go on, the babies go through different growth and sleep changes. Our LO is now 1 Yr and 2 wks. He eats A LOT. Suddenly, he's waking at night hungry. He's up about every 2 hrs or so after he sleeps for roughly 4 hrs. Did anyone notice change in sleep habits once LO hit a yr old? Thanks!
Re: Waking at night
Yeah, Gavin does this too even at 3.5 years old, he still has phases of waking up and it drives us crazy. He'll go months of sleeping all night without a peep and then for like 2 weeks he will wake up every night, sometimes multiple times. It sucks, but its normal for some (even most) kids.
My DS was doing this at about 14 months...waking up every night around 2am crying and crying. I would go in there and pick him up..rock him..settle him and put him back to sleep. I did this for about 2 weeks until I got so tired and just let him cry. 3 days later, he completely stopped waking up at night.
When I was trying to wean my twins off their middle of the night bottle, my pedi recommended filling it with half formula/ half water..and to keep increasing the water. It really worked, and they stopped waking up for their night bottle because their bodies weren't craving the calories at night.
