Okay what would you do? Ava was eating up to 4oz every 3 hours during the day. A few times it looked like she could go longer (like maybe 4 hours), but I would feed her anyway at the 3 hr mark even though she wasn't signs of hunger- most of the time she takes the bottle, but will leave an oz or so, I assume that if I waited til the 4 hr mark, she'd guzzle it right down. I'd do it in hopes that if she got a majority of her calories during the day, she's sleep better at night.
Should I not do that? If she goes 4 hours between feeds (still taking 4oz which is what she takes if we go 3 hours), would that mean she'll make up for it at night?
Should I see what happens tomorrow and see if she does go 4 hours between feeds?
Sorry if I make no sense.
Re: Feeding question #875
I stuck with the 3 hour schedule even if they didn't always finish their bottles.
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
At that age, I stuck with the 3 hour schedule as well. Only at night I only fed them when they woke -- not on a shcedule.
Also - honestly, sometimes no matter how much you feed them they wake up in the middle of the night for milk. It's normal for a 2 month old to not STTN.
Oh I'm not expecting her to STTN yet (would be nice though). Just go longer between feeds at night. Like 5 hours instead of 3 or even 6 hours would be nice.
Im guessing you are not waking her up at night? (I hope not). I don't think Tristan started going every 4 hours until like 4 months -- and he started solids at that time also.
Oh no Ma'am! Definitely not waking her up at night. She calls the shots.
