With this hot summer weather I am craving a huge cold cut sandwich more than ANYTHING right now!! I can't get it out of my head! haha...anyone else feeling the same way?

That will definitely be one of the first things I eat after labor! :)

    Eat it now, don't wait! I've been craving a hot dog and I fully intend on grilling up one tonight.

    Eat it today... As long as your eating at a trusted deli theres not really a reason to worry. Go and enjoy yourself a cold sandwhich. That is just my opinion, I have had some cold sandwhiches like turkey a few times this pregnancy and I'm fine.

    I went through about 2wks a while back where all I would eat was turkey sandwiches and tons of pickle chips. 

    Now all I really want is orange italian ice :|  

    Eta I just noticed the part about after labor, I didn't think anyone really stopped eating cold cuts. That's like not drinking fountain drinks at fast food places.

    I think I may just listen to you ladies and get a cold sandwich!! I've waited long enough! :)

     Next thing on my list is an adult beverage..but that will have to wait! :)

    That was my craving of choice last pregnancy and I think I had one everyday...LOL. This pregnancy I'm craving slushies! I can't seem to get enough of them.

    I have avoided lunch meat my entire pregnancy and I finally talked to my OB about it. She said it is perfectly safe as long as I get the refrigerated package kind or a deli, even Subway is fine. She said there are very few places I would have to worry about eating lunch meat. So I went out and got 3 pounds! Have been eating them everyday for the past week. Haha!

    I have eaten cold cut sandwiches during all 3 of my PG's......none of my kids came out with 3 heads ;)

    I'm drooling right now. Thanks :)  Putting an orange in my Kaliber just really doesn't cut it. Nor does a virgin mojito. Turns out, it is just a mint-limeade. 6 more weeks...6 more weeks..

    Oberon, Blue Moon, or a Killians would work for me too.  lol.  And I'm typically a wine girl, but when its HOT and we're grilling I want a beer.  I've been giving MH the stink eye lately.  And took a sip of his summer shandy over Memorial day.

    Me too... there's something about a nice cold beer when grilling.  Leinie's Summer Shandy is one of my favorites, I've had a sip of DH's a couple times as well.  Can't wait to throw back a whole one myself!

    I hear ya! I have not eaten any lunch meat my entire pregnancy and that will be the first thing I eat once I have this LO.

    I have been craving ice cold drinks lately, not sure why. Crazy cravings!

    Yum!  I haven't had cold cuts for the entire pg either (I'm not sure why I was so nervous to).  I did however enjoy a few hot dogs.  I can't wait for a nice italian sub and a cold home brewed beer :).  4 more weeks!

    I haven't had any cold cuts this entire pregnancy and I'm dying for a cold turkey sandwich with mayo, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and little bit of ranch dressing thrown in the mix. Oh. My. God. I'm seriously drooling right now. I may just have to give in tonight. I'm also craving a frosty frozen margarita like no other, but that will just have to wait a couple more weeks.

    Just go for it. I've been eating deli meat, hot dogs, tuna fish, etc for my entire pregnancy.

    I'm slightly hypocritical, though, because I would KILL for a glass of wine & I just can't bring myself to drink one. I feel way too guilty...

    First....eat the sandwich!  I love Jimmy John's and have had the turkey tom several times during my pregnancy.

    Second, an ice cold beer sounds delicious!! Maybe a Summer Wheat or an Oberon...yummmm!!

    If you're sweating the listeria risk, microwave the meat to steaming, then put it in a clean container and refrigerate it! That way you'll have killed any bacteria and you can still eat it cold. Listeria won't just be sitting around anywhere, so it would be quite a shock if you could reinfect it even if it were originally infected.
