  • I made up a sticker chart for DD so each time she goes she gets a sticker and a jelly bean. That seemed to help a lot. She was so proud when she filled up her sticker chart and I had her take a picture beside it. Also bought a bunch of goodies from the Target One-spot that she gets when the chart is full.

Good luck. It can definitely be frustrating at times :)

  • My little one did great when I praised her and gave her treats for keeping her undies dry.  We also did treats for going potty and she stopped asking for treats after the third day.  We are now 3 weeks in and we still have some accidents out in public, if I don't make her go when we first get there, but other than that dry undies!!!!
  • thanks for the encouragement guys!!! I kept asking her if she had to go and she kept saying no. then out of the blue she walked into the bathroom and attempted to sit on her potty. she didnt get her undys down all the way!!! but she knew she had to go and she at least made it to the bathroom!!!!

  • I went by the 3 day potty and DS did great! You basically don't go anywhere and let her be in underwear and a Tshirt. Lots of work but worth it! Good Luck!

  • Yay good luck!!

     1. Buy Undies (fun fun times) it really is!

    2. Buy potty seat (yay)

    3. Train train away!!

    4. Wait until she POOPS on the potty, that is very exciting!

  • Good Luck!  We set a timer because DS would never go if I asked him.  I set it for 30-45 min.  M&M's worked good for us.

It's all par for the course!  Just have plenty of back up undies!  Whenever S has an accident, I just say "that's ok, next time try to keep your underwear dry!"  Then I ask him where the pee pee goes and he says "in the potty!"  He's pretty much mastered pee at this point, so we're moving on to poop and using the same reinforcement.  With S, I have to let him tell me (for the most part) when he has to use the potty.  If it's my idea, he typically won't go.  I'm starting to get more insistent about him at least trying if we're leaving the house though.

Just be patient and stay consistent!
