I love your name and I know you do to, but for phone purposes and to ease the frustration, would you be willing to just say Lynn?
I have resorted to saying yes every time folks call me Julie. I hate it, but figure I've been fighting it for 30+ years and a Random on the phone just doesn't rank in my world, so if it's Julie, so be it.
Of course, when it's someone I know I'll be dealing with regularly, I make sure to correct them.
Hugs lady. I know how frustrating it is.
I'm named after my Aunt, so I always had to share the name in the first place, struggling to find my own moniker. Once I finally got that, she became a grandma and took on my nick name too. Identity is important, especially when it continually gets butcherd.
most of the time i do go by Lynn in the call center it just gets old. just venting . i am super b!tchy today, co-workers are on my last nerve.
Uh, yeah, having to go in on a weekend would make me feel pretty bitchy too. Sorry, F, I hope you're at least making $$ for all the work you're putting in!
I say you make everyone address you as Her Royal Highness of Awesomeness for the rest of the week. I don't think that could ever, *ever* get old!
