Daycare,preschool, end of years gifts?

Do you give end of year gifts for daycare teachers? there is no official end of the year but I guess it is the end of the school year. We just started three months ago so we don't know what is expected yet. What about preschool?

Our pre-school has a summer break so we did a gift of a plant and a GC for each teacher. Plus he is moving on to a new school next yr, so I wanted to say thank you.

If she has only been there 3 months then I don't think I would get them gifts unless you felt they had already done something thank you worthy.

If my kids were in year round care or school, I would likely just gift on major holidays or when they are moved to a new room/class.

As an after-school teacher, we rarely get gifts but it's always nice when we do! In your case, however, since it is year-round AND you just started, I wouldn't worry about it. Like the others said, wait until the holidays.
