My company Vent.

My company just changed their maternity leave policy effective today.  Mothers now have 8 weeks paid time off covered under STD (as opposed to 6).  It is effective starting today.  I came back to work a week ago.  Ugh.

And I know lots of companys don't have leave policy etc- I just need to be mad about this from a completely selfish perspective right now.  I told them they can add that extra 2 weeks to me vacation if they'd like.  ha!

    That sucks that you missed out on those 2 weeks!

    I only had the 6 weeks of STD, too. I ended up taking 2 weeks unpaid and I have been working from home for the past 3 weeks. This is my last week at home and knowing I have to leave him next week makes me sad  :(

    I misread the policy...it actually extends to 12 weeks paid time total.  I could have doubled my leave!  I would still be home cuddling, bouncing, and playing!
