I got DH something small that he will like. I would also like to get small but thoughtful gifts for my dad and FIL but I can't think of anything. Are you getting gifts for your dh, your dad and your FIL? If so, what are you getting for them?
I got DH a new razor, studio pictures of Matt, a CD, and a picture that Matt painted for him. I will also do breakfast in bed, make him his favorite dinner and dessert.
I got my dad a studio picture of Matt on a kids size Harley Davidson (my dad has a motorcycle, and loves to ride) and I will also have Matt make him some art.
Got my father in law a stepping stone for his garden (will have Matt do a handprint on it).
TTC for 19 months. Dx: PCOS. 3 IUI's with Clomid= BFN 1st IUI with injectables= BFP
I got DH (well, us really) a new grill. I like the pps idea of the art work. Maybe I'll have Isabel make a drawing and frame it. He does not work in an office but her does have an "office" aka, his playroom at home so he can put it in there:)
As far as my dad and FIL, I don't talk to my dad so that's easy, no gift and dh's family is strange and they don't ever do anything for others. Easier for us:)~
For DD - IVF/ICSI #1 - BFP / For DS - dIUI #1 - BFP
Dx:severe MFI-Y Chromosome Microdeletion
Isabel born 10-15-08! / Baby Boy EDD July 2013
I got FIL and my father Kindle gift certificates and DH a polo and shorts.
PCOS, lupus anticoagulant, MTHFR (A1298C, one copy)
2 IUIs & 1 IVF = BFN
FET#1 = It's a girl! Born 7.1.10
FET#2 = c/p
FET#3 = Twin girls! Born on 3.16.12 at 33w2d due to severe pre-E. After 4 weeks in the NICU they are home!
DH: Star Wars light sabor (sp?) that lights up and makes sounds. ((((shhhhh don't tell him)))
My father and I don't speak, and isn't FIL, DH's father? So wouldn't HE be getting his father a gift? ((shakes head in confusion))
Yep. I know . In theory, dh should get his mother something for mother's day and his dad something for father's day. Dh is a great dad and husband but is not good at remembering birthdays and holidays for his family members and following through on sending a card or a gift. I really don't mind helping in this area. I am just thankful that he so hands on around the house and with dd.
I did the D-A-D pictures (picture of baby holding up each letter) for my DH and put them in a nice 3 picture frame for his desk.
I lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago, so I am trying to keep it together for my H on a bittersweet day.
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

Well, I'm pretty useless as far as this goes.

I got DH a metal box thing for the grill so he can smoke stuff and some wood chips to go with it. We also have a dead cherry tree in the yard, LOL.
For my Dad, I got one of those garden stones and will have the kids do their hand prints in it. Hopefully all 3 hands will fit!
