~~ Sassy Ridge ~~

Hi, completely not trying to flame you, I'm genuinely curious after reading this:

I think a lot of people thought the same way I did when I first heard McCain picked Palin.  My thought was "okay, so he's gonna try and just play THAT kind of game. . ."  but once I looked a little further into who she was and what she has done, I thought she was a GREAT pick, not just some political stunt.  I wish more people would have given her a chance instead of immediately writing her off.

What specifically did you find that made you like her?  I'm confused by "what she has done", what do you mean?  Again, totally not flaming you.  I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first, and the more I found out, the less I liked her.

Re: ~~ Sassy Ridge ~~

  • She is a reformer.  She stands up for what she believes in and has a lot of the same conservative views that I do.  She wasn't going to let anyone bully her around and she was able to bring about change in Alaska, the same "change" that I feel this country deeply needed.  She fit with the type of campaign the McCain was trying to run.

  • I understand what you're saying, I guess I was looking for specific examples of measures she got passed, how she actually helped people in Alaska to lead a better life, etc.  All I have heard is that "bridge to nowhere" thing.
