Preemies

Back from ER

Went into the er today.  I felt like I was leaking amniotic fluid and had some tightening in my lower abdomen.  Last Saturday I had a cerclage b/c they found I was 1 cm dilated at routine appointment.

Well come to find out my uterus was having spasms.  They put me on procardia to help with that.  They did an ultrasound and my cervix was at 3.3 so they were thrilled (me too) and an average amount of amniotic fluid is 8 and I measured 16.  They thought every thing looked good I probably have a pin size leak in my amniotic sac.  Apparently my cerclage is doing the trick.

If you guys remember I went into labor with Reid at 24 weeks.  So this pregnancy has been nerve wracking! Oh, and my DH was awesome!  He took great care of me and took care of our Reid who had to come along for the ride.  My hubby rocks!

  • Nerve wracking for sure hon!  I'm sending lots of positive vibes to you, hoping that the cerclage does it's job and you stay pg for many more weeks - no, months!!

(I'm glad DH is being awesome too, and I know Reid will love the extra snuggle time while you are on bedrest!)

  • Lady, you need a ticker! I keep forgetting how far along you are :P So glad your cervix is doing well, are they making you do any at-home monitoring? Fingers crossed that the procardia keeps everything quiet!

Thanks for the T & P's everyone.  As long as the leak stays a small leak and I don't have contractions I should be fine.

I have a girl starting today to help with Reid.  She was supposed to work this week M/W/F but then she needed Weds. off.  So we will see how this works out.
