My little guy is 5 weeks and last night he slept a whole 5hrs in a row!! This isn't a sudden long sleep, he's been at 4hrs for the last week or so, 3hrs at 3weeks, so it's been a gradual incline in sleep.
My question is will this affect my supply? I assume by this point that my supply is well established, being 5weeks old but I just want to make sure. I tried setting my alarm when he was going 4hrs to try to pump in between, but as most of you probably know, getting up when you're already tired and don't *really* have a reason to (no fussing baby) is Really tough and I just couldn't do it.
So, am I safe to just enjoy the extra sleep? I feel that I am, with the 4hr stretches he was still satisfied during the day. Anyone have any input?
Re: XP(BF board): STTN and Supply question
Yes, just enjoy the sleep!!
Your supply will adjust as needed. Supply and demand! It will decrease as he continues to keep that schedule and increase at times when he eats more during the day.
