I've posted about this before because its seriously stressing me out. Lots of people responded that they had similar issues. But still? Anyone else still having some memory issues? Sometimes I have word retrevial issues...just can't find the word I'm looking for AND sometimes I forget small details...like things that have happened in the past few weeks or months. I plan on bringing it up at my next appt with my doctor which isn't until the beg of August.

Re: Memory Issues since having baby
Its gotten to the point that I'm worried about early onset alzheimer's. I know that sounds silly...but it worries me.
No, I don't get nearly enough sleep. I've also been getting headache which I assume are lack of sleep related.
Hmm I've never heard this before. I'm actually on total thyroid replacement therapy. I have severe Hashimotos and I'm getting my thyroid removed at some point. Thank you for posting this, I'm going to call me endocrinologist.
It's not silly, I have the same thought!! I've asked my real-life friends if they have this issue too and they all say they do, so I know its common, but I still feel very frustrated and worried. I have an English degree and worked in advertising for 8 years and struggle to retrieve words and names constantly! My brain has turned to absolute mush since having children.
Editing to add in that I also have Hashimoto's Hypothyroiditis and take medication daily. I just had a blood draw and my levels are okay now. I would think that the memory problems wouldn't be related, but that is definitely something to bring up with the Dr. Unfortunately i don't go back until next year. Will you post if your discuss it with your Dr and they say it is related?
OMG, this is exactly me! I'm thinking I'm going to bring it up at my next dr's appt, too, but I guess I'm glad to see so many other women feeling the same. I have serious trouble with names, and events. It's gotten to the point, where at the end of the day, I will try to go through the day's events in order to remember them better later (sort of "memory exercises" I guess) which does seem to help.
Also, the last 2 weeks DD has been sleeping through the night (so, for the last year I haven't gotten a full night's sleep) which has helped a LOT. I feel so much better lately (but still worried about my memory...)
I'm thinking that my headaches are from lack of sleep, but the headaches combined with the memory stuff really freaks me out. I also try to go over my day before bed. But my hubbs is getting very frustrated with me lately. I keep forgetting to do things I said I would do.
Your not alone. I often feel like the pregnancy brain was completely swapped with the brain I used to have. I forget a lot of things, sometimes within a few minutes. I'll ask someone a question, they'll answer....and after talking about other stuff, I'll ask them the question again, because I don't remember if I asked it already. I feel crazy. I used to remember things really well, and could rattle off whatever a person asked easily. Now....not so much.
What's really bad is I can't even remember my ABC's all the time, Like if you ask me what came after i, I would have to sing them in order to tell you. I feel like a complete moron.
Ugh me too. I was joking with a coworker that I'm lucky I already did grad school, because if I were to try to do it now I would be screwed. It just sucks because I really valued my intelligence.
