Father's Day idea!

I edited together all the video we have shot over the past 6 months into a 10 minute movie for Father's Day. I was going to have it be J's gift to DH. 

My mother had a genius idea, to see if a local theater will play it for us on the big screen. There is a small, locally owned theater around the corner, and they have digital projectors. I am waiting for a call back, but I'm hoping they let us do it, and don't charge too much. DH will flip out!!! 

Fingers crossed while I wait to hear!

What are you doing for DH on Father's Day?

    What a nice idea to have it played on a big screen!

    I do video editing for a living & have made dvds for nieces & nephew, but have totally slacked on DS's. I feel like everytime I go to start, I have new videos to add!

    We bought a new grill & accessories as a Father's Day gift. It just came today!

    I love it!  I hope it works out for you.

    We're getting DH a new wallet and then I'm doing a version of the classic (or cliched depending on your perspective) D-A-D pictures.  I found a collage layout on shutterfly that has 6 pictures - one big one in the upper right corner and then 5 smaller ones going down the left side and around the bottom.  So my plan for the 5 smaller ones is to take I <3 D A D pictures and the take a picture of DS in one of DH's work shirts for the larger one.

    I know someone who proposed that way (with a video at a small theater). I think it's a sweet idea! Let us know how it goes!

    It's going to happen! The guy from the theater called and said he really wanted to do it, but was super busy that day. I told him we would come any time, and the movie was only 11 minutes. So he fit us in!

    I'm having a video conversion place put the movie on a blu ray disc, and the theater will do a test run this week to make sure everything is working. I am SO excited!

    I am a horrible liar though, so when we pull up to the theater, I think DH will know what's going on. I may try telling him they are doing one of those movies you can watch with your babies, since he loves movies. I'm not sure he'll buy that though.
